NEA-Alaska/Retired
Who we are...
We are NEA-Alaska/R members, and
we are concerned about out future. Our membership included
retired certificated and classified employees from Alaska's K-12
public school system as well as "pre-tired" members who want to
reap the benefits of "R" membership.
We "R" members are affected by
pension benefit adjustments, reductions to Social Security benefits,
and the rising costs of health care and Medicare. Membership
in a vital, dynamic organization is crucial to advancing our
concerns and continuing our involvement in political debates that
shape our educational and social policy.
